Media Manager is a fully integrated content management system. It gives system administrators full control of the media environment they are creating for their particular business. It provides all the day to day functions needed to capture, manage, store and display all your media assets enabling pin point targeting of information on the basis of location, time or content - the right media to the right audience at the right time.

Media Manager is a Java based client server application built for Windows platforms. It provides a single point of management for media networks from a single site to a global scale. It incorporates delegated local administration and encrypted server/client communications.

The Java based web client supports full context sensitive help and a true drag and drop GUI experience. The tabbed workspace offers configurable backgrounds into which you can place maps, floor and campus diagrams along with status driven device icons.

Media Manager navigation offers quick access to all hardware, media and configuration options such as playlists, user selection lists, live tickers and your own branded media. From the same navigation pane you can access the configuration screens for all hardware assets.

Live streamed broadcasts, internally encoded streams, HLS live streams, iVod and VOD content all come together under the media section of the Media Manager interface. Content can be assigned to playlists for looped, aggregated daily or weekly distribution where you control what is played and when. Selection lists place the content selection in the hands of users with different media selectable as channels using a remote at the player.

Aiming the same content at individual users at the desktop or handheld devices is the job of the Portal page. As well as creating and publishing the pages from Media Manager you can configure various graphical elements. Icons can be assigned to individual media items and branding for your team, company or department set into the page.

Distributing content to hardware players and Portal users couldn’t be easier. You drag content onto the Portal or player, publish and you’re done.

Want live data on your shop floor screens? No problem. Media Manager Tickers offer time, location and admin populated feeds. Additionally you can link internet and internal tickers to the stream as well. Tickers scroll across the horizontal axis of the screen and can be positioned anywhere on the vertical axis with two tickers supported per screen.

Media Manager isn’t just a pretty face. Using bandwidth friendly communications it is constantly talking to your Evolution hardware assets. It is where they go for software updates. New hardware will automatically be discovered while changes to IP addressing or device names will automatically be synced.

Media Manager works to industry standards with all media broadcast using H.264, MPEG2 video and AAC and MPEG1 audio. If you have a library of existing media then Media Manager will transcode the content to H.264 and AAC during ingestion. Transcoding supports almost all file sources and resolutions to 1080HD.
